About The Game Loop

This platform is a personal passion project where I share my insights and resources on game development, as well as those of my peers.

Who am I

My name's Anthony (Tuna), and I'm a computer science educator at the high school level. My greatest passion in life is playing, developing, and teaching others about video games.

I decided I wanted to share my analysis and insights on game development, and any resources that have been useful for me. This includes everything from reviews on new games, coding tutorials, game design principles, and more, all aimed at helping others navigate the complex world of game development.

The Game Loop

A Bit About Me

Just one guy with a hefty steam library and a love for sharing.

🎮

Lifelong Gamer

Like many others, I've been playing games far longer than I've been making them. My childhood was filled with countless hours of gaming across many platforms and genres, which sparked my passion for game development.

📚

Game Analysis

I found that I naturally gravitated towards analyzing games—what made them fun, what design choices worked, and what could be improved. That's where the reviews come from, and I consider it to be a very important part of being a game dev. No one wants to play a boring game, right?

💡

Sharing What Works

Now I write about the stuff I went to school to learn. All the learning resources on this page are entirely original, developed by me or one of my peers in the industry. My goal is to have tools available, no matter what aspect of development you want to learn about.

What I Actually Care About

Actually Useful Stuff

Essentially all of the resources here are a part of my teaching curriculum or personal projects. I'll be sharing things that have been tested in the real world, and updating them as I grow as a developer too.

Entirely Original

Everything on this page is original. I create everything myself or with the help of colleagues. My reviews are based on my own experiences playing the games, and the tutorials are from my own curriculum.

Playing and Making Games

At the end of the day, I love video games. Everything I share is centered around that passion, whether you come for the reviews, or to learn how to make your own games.
